My Dear Parishioners,
Today, we celebrate our Lord’s Divine Mercy to all humankind, living and deceased. Please attend Holy Mass and to beg our Lord for His Divine Mercy upon us and all of our loved ones, living and deceased. Never forget that with God, all things are possible. He had already conquered death and restored life to all who trust in His Divine Love and Mercy. God is merciful and we are His precious and beloved children, Fr. Hien LENT: Prayer, Fasting And Almsgiving. No meat Fridays during Lent.
A PRAYER FOR PRIESTS BY ST. THERESE OF LISIEUX
O Jesus, eternal Priest, keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart, where none may touch them. Keep unstained their anointed hands, which daily touch Your Sacred Body. Keep unsullied their lips, daily purpled with your Precious Blood. Keep pure and unearthly their hearts, sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood. Let Your holy love surround them and shield them from the world’s contagion. Bless their labors with abundant fruit and may the souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolation here and in heaven their beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen LENT: Prayer, Fasting And Almsgiving. No meat Fridays during Lent. MÙA CHAY: Cầu nguyện, Ăn chay và Bố thí. Không được ăn thịt các thứ 6. Happy New Year to our Vietnamese parishioners. May we all live to love God by seeing God in each other and to give thanks to God for all His blessings upon us, our families and everyone throughout the world. May we all live in peace with each other and to help each other to become saints. This coming Wednesday, February 14th, is Ash Wednesday. On Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, you can only eat one full meal and two lesser meals. Of course, no meat on these days as well as every Friday during Lent—Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. Ash Wednesday Masses are 8am with the school children, 5:15pm English and 6:30pm in Vietnamese. May we all have a spiritual Lent, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Blessings from our Lord be with you all. Next weekend, especially on Saturday, February 10th will be the new zodiac year, the Year of the Dragon for our Vietnamese parishioners. Please join us for Holy Mass on Saturday, February 10th at 10:30am, followed by the dragon dance, free lucky money in a red envelope and a special reception in the hall with music. Also, we have been selling Vietnamese food along with New Year decorations from 10am to 7pm every day at the Fischer Center. All the proceeds will benefit the school HVAC system. Thank you for your support and donations. Please know that we are all blessed to be living in America, a country with many states, cities, and communities that have many nationalities, cultures and people who can speak many languages. I am sure only God knows exactly how many people are living in America and how many languages are being used and how many cultures there are in America. Asian people such as the Vietnamese in our parish, they speak their Vietnamese language and celebrate their culture that is also very important to our Catholic faith. The word “Catholic” means universal, that’s for every person, every culture, and every language on the face of the earth. Just like all people are precious and sacred to God, all cultures and languages on the face of the earth are part of the Catholic Church, the One Holy Catholic Church Family. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ regardless of our age, race, culture, language, etc… Love you all, Fr.
Would you like some special blessings for the good of your body, mind and soul? Please join us for Holy Mass, especially next weekend, as we will pray to St. Blaise, bishop and martyr. His feast day is February 3rd. This special saint is known for miracles of the throat. Everyone is invited to receive this special blessing during the exit song on February 3rd and 4th. Two candles will be placed on your throat and this prayer will be said over you, “Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” During this special moment of the blessing, please listen to every word in this prayer and invite the Holy Spirit to touch your body, mind and soul so that you may be healed. Prior to receiving the blessing, be sure to pray to Jesus, the divine healer, who can do all things in you and for you. He is God. After the blessing, please spend some time in dialogue with Jesus. Thank Him for coming to you in the Holy Eucharist and trust in Him with all your heart, mind and soul. Finally, leave church in peace and see God in each other, especially in yourself, a child of God, a disciple of Jesus, a son of Mother Mary, and an imitator of the saints. May God’s healing and peace be with you all, Fr. Hien My Dear Parishioners,
Thank you for your stewardship, especially your treasure to our church and school. A special thank you to many of you who have already contributed beyond your normal tithe to help pay for the new HVAC (heating and air) for our school, our students. Please know that you are providing heat in our classrooms now so that our children can be in school when it's very cold outside. Thank you! If there is any reason that you have not contributed to this important cause, please don’t delay, any amount is needed and appreciated. Only with your support will we be able to reach our goal of paying the bill for our kids. Our parish leaders and I are hoping that after we pay the bill for our kids, we will have some extra money to repave the parking lot because it is decades overdue. The longer we wait, the worse our parking lot will be and the more costly it will be. Please help and I trust that your generosity will make it possible. God bless you all and please stay warm and healthy, frhien. My Dear Parishioners,
Thank God that we are living in the new year of 2024. Please be aware that in every moment of this earthly life, someone has passed away whether they want it or not or ready or not, the rich or the poor, the healthy or the sick. No one can escape death; it will happen to every person. Hopefully our turn is not very soon so that we have more time to love God, to worship Him and to serve Him. Let us continue praying for the salvation of all & the faithful departed; so that they will be with our Lord and God for eternal life. This is also a reminder that we must be living as faithful members of God’s family with our time, talent and treasure today so that we may be with God in heaven. We will be rewarded for all the good that we do and the faith that we profess and live. We also need to pray for those who willingly reject God that they may change their mind before time runs out so that they may inherit the salvation gained from Jesus dying for us. Willfully rejecting God is the end of one's life. Finally, if you have not returned your stewardship forms for 2024 as well as your donation to help the church pay for the school’s heating and air system, please know that we need your financial help. You can spread your donations out for however long you need. Every family is expected to give something, big or small, because providing heating and air for our children is a must at our church and school. Also because we want our little ones to know that we love them and we care for their well being. Your generosity is needed. Thank you to all those who have donated since April of 2023. Please know that the Lord will bless you greatly because you have trusted Him with your life and treasure. Thanks be to God, Fr. Hien. Happy New Year Everyone,
Blessings from our Lord Jesus be with you all. Merry Christmas and happy 2024. May this new year bring you God’s joy, happiness, peace with one another and with our Lord. The years 2000, 2020 and 2023 are all history now. Today is the most important day of your life if you are loving it and living it in love and peace with each other. Please understand that every day is a gift from God. He loves us today and always. Please live your daily life with the purpose of becoming a saint. I am looking forward to being with you this weekend for Holy Masses as we will celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord, also the end of the Christmas season. Tuesday, January 9th is the first week in ordinary time. Also, I want to thank many of you who loved me in a special way with your daily prayers as well as remembering me this Christmas season and showering me with your best wishes, cards, and gifts, as well as sharing with me your family’s pictures and stories. Thank you and greatly appreciated. Finally, if you have not returned your stewardship forms for 2024 as well as your donation to help the church pay for the school’s heating and air system, please know that we need your financial help. You can spread your donations for however long you may need. Every family is expected to give something, big or small, because providing heating and air for our children is a must at our church and school. Also because we want our little ones to know that we love them and we care for their well being. Any amount today will be appreciated, Fr. Hien. Merry Christmas Everyone,
May the blessings of our Lord Jesus, Saint Joseph and the Blessed Mother Mary be with you all. Today, we celebrate the feast day of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. May your family always be one with God and with one another like the Holy Family. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph lived together on earth and now they are together in heaven. Please imitate the Holy Family with your true faith in God, your love for one another and prayers for all souls. Thank you for being faithful Catholics especially here at All Saints. I am blessed to have you as my parishioners. I always look forward to being with you and to celebrate our Catholic faith together. I wish you and your loved ones a very merry blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year full of love for God and for one another. God’s heavenly blessings be with you all, frhien. |
