Next Week In Second Grade
November 14th-18th
Religion
In religion students will complete a unit two wrap up. We will use our books to review the important words and ideas learned over the last few chapters. Students will also write a thanksgiving prayer to God in celebration of all the wonderful things he does for us.
Reading
Next week in reading students will read Turkey Trouble. In this funny fiction story, a turkey wears silly disguises to avoid being eaten on Thanksgiving. Students will create their own turkey disguises and write persuasive letters to convince the farmer to not eat them for Thanksgiving dinner!
Math
In math students will be learning to count sets of coins. Please practice identifying and counting coins at home with your students.
Science/Social Studies
In social studies students will be learning about our founding fathers. We will also learn about the history of Thanksgiving throughout the week.
