My Dear Parishioners of All Saints,
Are you ready for some fun? Our church family wishes to bring God’s blessings and happiness to God’s people on Saturday, October 8 at 4pm for Holy Mass (English & Vietnamese) to be celebrated by Bishop Kemme with two professional Vietnamese singers in the choir. The Wichita KofC honor guard will attend also. After Mass, we will hold a special Eucharistic procession outside to honor Our Lord in this special year of the Eucharist. We will also have the statue of Mary in the procession as we will give our devotion to our Blessed Mother. During the procession, we will recite the rosary in English and Vietnamese along with Vietnamese songs. After the procession, a short period of adoration will be held in front of the bell tower, followed by a free dinner for everyone--provided by our Knights of Columbus, Altar Society and Vietnamese people. We are expecting over a thousand people for the Mass, procession, dinner, and outdoor music concert. There will be a security presence as well as many people having food sales inside and outside all day. All Saints PTO and School Councils will provide free bounce houses and games from 10am-2:30pm—all children and families are invited. Sponsored by Walgreens—a pharmacist will offer free flu vaccines for ages 3 and up, without insurance, or unable to afford one. Please bring your own lawn chair to sit for dinner and the entertainment. We are hoping for good weather for the day and the night as we will be together to celebrate our Catholic faith and to enjoy companionship and great food with lots of fun for all people. Our All Saints’ school children will sing and also perform two group dances: one by the Vietnamese children and the other by the Hispanic children on the outdoor stage by the bell tower. Please join us for all or part of this special day’s events. Your presence will mean a lot to all of us at All Saints for we are a welcoming and hospitable church family. The expenses for this special event are provided by generous donors and the Vietnamese food sales. If you wish to donate, please memo your donation as "Marian Day." God is good to all of us so let us celebrate our faith and enjoy good food in the company of a thousand people. Everyone is welcome, Catholic or not, parishioner or not, for we are all one as God’s family, Fr. Hien Comments are closed.
