My Dear Parishioners,
Blessings from our Lord be with you all. Last week, I was blessed to be with our All Saints 3rd to 8th grade students to pray and to help them receive the sacrament of healing—confession. Our Lord loved them and forgave them all. Yes, that was a lot of students for me, one person to hear all their confessions and to pray the absolution prayer over each and every one of them. It took me two days. I am so happy for them and thank God for their Catholic faith. They are such wonderful and faith-filled children of God. Did you hear them singing at Holy Mass last Sunday? They did very well. They made my day. I will continue working at it to have more children be involved in the Holy Mass. Please pray for our children, our teachers and me too. I hope that every family has received their financial contribution statement in the mail. If you did not receive one, please contact the church office to see whether you have registered with our parish. Again, on behalf of our All Saints’ church and school families, especially our students at All Saints and the many students attending Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School, I would like to give a special thanks to the many parishioners and families who have been faithful to their pledges and their stewardship way of life. Please know that you are the ones who are doing the good deeds for these children and their future. Catholic education is not free but is from the many sacrifices of the many good-hearted people in our parish. Please know that 10 percent of your general donation will go to the diocese to help provide education to our seminarians and the many other good causes throughout the world. Here is an example, a thank you letter from the Missionary Society of Saint Theresa from Ghana: Dear Fr. Nguyen and Parishioners of All Saints: Last year we received a check for $7,335.55 from the Diocese of Wichita as proceeds from the 2018 Mission collection to the Missionary Society of St. Theresa of the Little Flower. Of this amount, 25% went toward the education of our seven seminarians, 25% for partial construction of a chapel at our formation house, and the other 50% of all proceeds went into the ministries of evangelization and education of the poor and marginalized and to provide potable drinking water in given villages. On behalf of the missionaries of St. Theresa, I would like to thank you for your generosity. Your generous gift of your parish and the Diocese of Wichita helped us feed and educate poor children in rural parts of Ghana. I am so thankful to you for your support. May God’s choicest blessings come upon you and remain with you always. Yours in the Service of the Lord, Very Rev. Paul Kala, SSTLF, Founder and Superior. Again, as true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us continue loving, caring and sharing our time, talent and treasure for the good and salvation of each other, especially in our parish. God bless you all, Fr. Hien Comments are closed.
