My Dear Parishioners,
June is here and the summer season has started. Our children are out of school to be with their families and friends and to enjoy their summer activities. Although school is out, our faith and love for God will never go out. Please always keep your family close to God by attending Holy Masses wherever you are this summer. For Mass times near your traveling area, visit Masstimes.org. Congratulations: Again, let us give thanks to God and congratulate Fr. Seigman on his ordination to the priesthood. If you are around, please join us for his Holy Mass at All Saints on Sunday, June 2nd at 8am. This means that I will get to sleep in on Sunday morning, just kidding. Father will hear confessions prior to his Mass. Thank You: To so many parishioners who helped Fr. Seigman celebrate his first Holy Mass—beautifully--and our reception for him last Sunday. There were so many people, especially priests and seminarians. I had so much fun. We had plenty of food for everyone. A special thanks to all those who helped with the meal, what you did tells what kind of love and service we have here at All Saints. We love each other and we also love to celebrate with each other. Thank you for your ministry! Upcoming Events: Summer school will start this Monday, June 3rd to July 26th; Summer Vacation Bible school will start July 8th to 12th; Vietnamese parishioners will hold their summer food sales as fund raising for our parish on June 21-23; Parish picnic and open house of the new priest’s residence on the weekend of July 13 & 14. Everyone is invited to our July 13th Saturday 4pm Mass, followed by an open house of the priest’s residence until 6:30pm. On Sunday, July 14th open house will be after 8am Mass until 1:30pm. Coffee and donuts will be served after 8am Mass. The 11am Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Carl Kemme, followed by his blessing of the new house and lunch with us. Everyone is invited to join us both days. The parish will provide the main dish (we’ll have to butcher a fattened calf), you are welcome to bring your favorite food to share with everyone. Love you all, Fr. Hien--PS. Whoever has been praying for rain, please STOP. Just kidding (: Building Fund: From everyone in our church family, we want to thank the many individuals and families, parishioners and non-parishioners, who have contributed generously to our building fund. Up to date, we are blessed with $179,111. My Dear Parishioners,
How are you doing? I am doing great and still going for I survived Holy Week, the Easter celebrations, our children’s Confirmation and their First Confession and First Holy Communion. I survived our end-of-the-school-year activities and graduations of our children and my niece. God is great for He has kept me safe and healthy with the energy I needed to lead our parish and to celebrate His Holy Sacraments with love and devotion. I love our Catholic Faith! Thanks be to God who made me and blessed me with 19 years as a priest this Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. God knows that I don’t deserve to be a priest nor to be a pastor. He has graced me much for He has loved me much. All I want now is to continue loving Him and serving Him. This weekend, I am looking forward to celebrating the transitional deacons’ ordination and Father Matt Siegman’s ordination to the priesthood at Cathedral. Please join me and many guest priests at 3pm this Sunday in our church for Fr. Siegman’s first Holy Mass and reception following Mass. Does anyone know how old is Fr. Siegman? He is 33. Finally, please join me in thanking God for all our children who have succeeded in their academic year and above all, to our beloved Fr. Siegman for becoming a priest. May God watch over them all to keep them safe throughout this summer. Please also thank our teachers and parish staff who helped our children in their formation and education. We are blessed to have them with us. We love them all and congratulations to Father Seigman. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us, Fr. Hien Building Fund: From everyone in our church family, we want to thank the many individuals and families, parishioners and non-parishioners, who have contributed generously to our building fund. Up to date, we are blessed with $178,511. My Dear Parishioners, It was so good to celebrate Mother’s Day with so many people at our Holy Masses last weekend. Together we prayed for all mothers and entrusted them to Mary, our spiritual Mother. Let us always honor them with our love and respect for that would be very pleasing to God. Graduations: First, let us congratulate our All Saints’ seniors at Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School who will graduate this Sunday afternoon at the Hartman Area. Please join me in congratulating them on this milestone in their lives. These young men and women are now ready for their professional educations. They are: Alan Alva, Etienne Borrego, Tiffany Dang, Sophia Drouhard, Andy Ha, Lily Nguyen, Natalie Odour, Kathy Pham, Ricky Pham, David Phung, & Stephanie Tran Second, let us congratulate our All Saints’ 8th graders: Alana Aguilar, Vanessa Goheen, Evelyn Hay, Alyssa Hengel, Ricardo Hernandez-Herrera, Areli Jimemez, Nicholas Kucera, Riley Logan, Kamilah Martines-Vargas, Ysela Mireles, Link Moore, Tammy Nguyen, Teresa Nguyen, Sydney Nguyen, Jordan Rangel and Holly Smaglik. Please join me for their special promotion Mass on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:30pm in church. They will sing and serve all liturgical duties at this Mass. We will thank God for their love for God and for us, and for their great role-model to our little children. I am super proud of them all. Congratulations 8th graders and seniors! We love you all. We are blessed to have you with us. Priesthood Ordination: Our beloved deacon Matthew Siegman will be ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 25th at 10am at the Cathedral. Please join our Bishop, priests, sisters, and others for his ordination. Father Siegman’s first Holy Mass will be at All Saints on Sunday, May 26th at 3pm, followed by a cookout reception. Everyone is invited. We are blessed to have a long-time parishioner and a brother grand-Knight to serve God and to save souls. God is good and He blesses us with Fr. Siegman. Congratulations Father Siegman.
My Dear Parishioners,
God’s blessings be with you all, especially to all mothers as we celebrate Mother‘s Day weekend with them. May God bless our beloved moms with His blessings and love. We know that they love us dearly as their children and grandchildren. To let our mothers know that we love them, I will pray over them during our Holy Masses this weekend. We thank God for their gift of life to all of us and their unconditional love for us since the day we were conceived. We pray that their love for us will be like Mary’s love to her family, always true and strong. Please know, moms, that we need you in this life. You are the best mother God could have blessed us with. Thank you! Happy Mother’s Day to all moms. As a church family, we are blessed with all the children of our parish. We thank God for them too, especially twenty of them who received their first sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion last weekend. It was so good to see so many people attending their special Mass and witnessing their love for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist with His Body and Blood. God bless our children. We also thank God for our teachers who formed and educated our children. Please know that our children will remember the love and lessons you have taught them. Thank you! Finally, the school year is ending, please be sure to pray daily for your children so that they may finish their academic year well. Everyone will be very busy with many graduations, parties and traveling but please remember that God must be first every day. Please be careful and always keep God alive in your heart, mind and soul. I am looking forward to the many school activities with our church and with my family. God bless you all, Fr. Hien Building Fund: From everyone in our church family, we want to thank many individuals and families, parishioners and non-parishioners, who have contributed generously to our building fund. My Dear Parishioners,
Welcome to the month of May, the most special month dedicated to our Blessed Mother Mary. May she always watch over us and our families everyday until we are in heaven with God for eternity. To give our love and honor to our Blessed Mother, our All Saints children will present flowers and a May crowning to Mary at our 8am school Holy Mass on Wednesday, May 1st. Please come and join us and pray with us. After Mass, our children will pray the Holy Rosary for us all. Please remember that no one can come to the Father without coming to Jesus and no one can come to Jesus without coming to His beloved Mother Mary either. This makes Mary very important to all of us sinners---“pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.” Finally, our prayer and symphathy are extended to the family of Pedro "Pete" Caudillo. He was 89 years old and a longtime parishioner and a brother Knight. We celebrated his funeral Mass on Monday, April 29th, in our church. Please know that our children are God’s gift to us and to every family. Please join our second graders this Saturday, May 4th, for their First Holy Communion at our 4pm Mass. These children have been praying, learning and preparing their hearts, minds and souls to become one with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. They are Christopher Bramhall, Anthony Bui, John Do, Caleb Guzman, Beyonca Irwin, Alejandro Jimenez, Minh Q. Le, Zemirah Melton, Daniel Miller-Rodriguez, Jamal Rolfe-Murray, Olyve Tajchman, Adriel Hernandez, Danh Hoang, Olivia LeDonne, Lauren Lies, Oscar Martinez, Madelyn Patterson and Joey Rupe. Our All Saints children will lead the singing at this special Mass. Please join us! Personally, I love Jesus, His teachings and His Holy examples. Do you know that every time I celebrate Holy Mass, I always look forward to Easter and remind myself that every Sunday is Easter? Why? It’s because it was after the resurrection of Jesus that He walked on the road with others. At first, they didn’t know that Jesus was walking with them. As they listened to Jesus, He opened their hearts, minds and souls. He then took bread, said the blessing and broke it before them. Suddenly their eyes were opened, and they recognized Him in the breaking of the bread. It was in the giving thanks and in the breaking of the bread that they recognized Him. God bless them and us who attend Jesus’ supper, the Holy Mass. For this reason, since I was ordained, my most important moment at Holy Mass is the taking of the bread, the giving thanks and especially at the breaking of the bread. I raise the consecrated bread/host as high as I can so that everyone in church can see and believe in Jesus with all their hearts, minds and souls. Now you know why I do what I do at Holy Mass. I love to imitate Jesus for He sent me to do His will. Happy Easter everyone with God’s blessings and with the eternal life of heaven, Fr. Hien Building Fund: From everyone in our church family, we want to thank many individuals and families, parishioners and non-parishioners, who have contributed generously to our building fund.
