Fr. Hien's Weekly Letter 01/24/2021

My Dear Parishioners,
     Prayers and thanksgiving to God for all the angels and saints who will always love us and pray for us until we are in heaven with our Lord.  May we learn from the Holy Angels and Saints to devote our life, heart, mind, and soul to Jesus every day.  Jesus loves us dearly, may we love him unconditionally, especially during this time in life.  Many people have turned away from our beloved country, communities, families, and worst of all, away from God.  Our country and families need us now more than ever before with our love for one another and for God.  Please never change your loving hearts for God and your loved ones.  Pray for peace, healing, and heavenly blessings.
     Again, our Bishop has asked us to pray to Mother Mary and St. Joseph throughout this new year.  Please keep them close to your hearts everyday with your prayers.  Most importantly, please pray for all dads that they would imitate the saintly example of St. Joseph to their wives and families, especially their children.  The family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph are in heaven, may our entire family be one day too.  Let us help each other to love Jesus and put His teachings into practice.  He is the way, the truth, and the life for all peoples on earth and in heaven.  Love you all, Fr.      Consecration to St. Joseph: O Glorious Patriarch and Patron of the Church!  O Virgin Spouse of the Virgin Mother of God!  O Guardian and Virginal Father of the Word Incarnate!  In the presence of Jesus and Mary, we choose you this day to be our father, guardian, and protector.  O great St. Joseph, whom God has made the Head of the Holy Family, accept us, we beseech you, though utterly unworthy, to be a member of your “Holy House.”  Present us to your Immaculate Spouse; ask her also to adopt us as her children.  With her, pray that we may constantly think of Jesus, and serve Him faithfully to the end of our lives.  O Terror of Demons, increase in us virtue, protect us from the evil one, and help us not to offend God in any way.  O Spiritual Father, we hereby consecrate ourselves to you.  In faithful imitation of Jesus and Mary, we place ourselves and all our concerns under your care and protection.  To you, after Jesus and Mary, we consecrate our bodies and souls, with all their faculties, our spiritual growth, our homes, and all our affairs and undertakings.  Forsake us not, but adopt us as servants and children of the Holy Family.  Watch over us at all times, but especially at the hour of death.  Console and strengthen us with the presence of Jesus and Mary, so that with you, we may praise and adore the Holy Trinity for all eternity.  Amen
