My Dear Parishioners,
January 2023 is passing by, and we all are adding days and years to our lives on earth (only those who have made it to heaven will never get old). Hopefully we are all growing in a deeper relationship with God and with greater love for one another. Personally, I have seen people growing older and wealthier but further away from God and their loved ones. I often think of them and pray for them at Mass. I know that none of us can turn them around toward God and their loved ones, but only themselves after they have realized that they have been “the prodigal son.” Therefore, they truly need our love and prayers so that with God’s grace given and waiting, they may return to Holy Mass whole-heartedly, to their families and even taking better care of their body, mind, and soul. At the same time, please pray for the members of our parish and for me, because as sinners, we are dependent on God’s mercy and forgiveness and His divine grace to hold on to our Catholic faith and to live it daily with one another. Please know that I love you all and you are dear to me. Thank you to all those who came to the Vietnamese New Year celebration last weekend. We had a great turn out and the time we spent at the reception was very nice too. With Jesus’ love, Fr. Hien Comments are closed.
