My Dear Parishioners,
Are you ready for July? Can you believe that we are about halfway through summer, and July 4th is coming? Yes, summertime seems too short. May it be a reminder to all of us who were born on this earth that life is short and over for ever at the moment of death, unless today we live with faith in God. Only God can do all things and only God can give life on earth as it will be in heaven. I am so thankful to my parents who gave me their Catholic faith. I am blessed to have migrated to America and to call America my homeland. I am hoping and praying that our government leaders and all those who are living in America will see and understand the wisdom of our forefathers who founded America. They had faith in God to the point that they labeled America’s most important treasure, currency, money, with “In God We Trust.” Everyone then and now must use money to buy and to sell; therefore, everyone must learn how important God is to America and to the people of America. Sadly, this faith in God has been lost by our government leaders and by many people living in America for decades, like the Biblical story of the prodigal son. The consequences of not having God in our policies, government, and people are what we have been seeing lately -- prejudice, hatred, racism, and killing one another in America, including the innocent unborn. When people don’t have God in their hearts, they don’t have a conscience, and no one is important or of value to them. God on the other hand, has been patiently, every moment, waiting for the return of our heart, mind, and soul. Please know that God still loves us and shows us His Divine Mercy. All our government leaders and the people of America are to repent and to return to the Lord. God, our loving Father, is waiting for the return of His prodigal children and government. Please say a prayer for God’s blessing upon America as we are about to celebrate our freedom and independence. God bless America, our beautiful homeland, Fr. Hien Comments are closed.
