Fr. Hien's Weekly Letter 07/02/23

My Dear Parishioners,

God bless America and God bless all of you.  Please know that I love you and I also love our country.  Yes, sometimes it’s hard to love our country, especially during the election, because the political candidates and the political parties are very divided and hateful toward each other; however, we love our country because of the countless heroes and faithful citizens who have and are serving our country.  Many of them came from many different cultures, customs, languages, with their hearts and minds serving our country and for the good of the world.  America is a God-given country not only to the native Americans but to all those who love her.  In God we trust and Happy Independence to America and to everyone who loves her.  Please celebrate this 4th with compassion and love toward everyone among your families and friends.  Always celebrate with lots of fun, laughter, and great food.  Be careful with all fireworks because they can be very dangerous and harmful and destructive.  Yes, a spark can destroy a village if it’s out of hand.  If you are traveling, please be extra careful for the safety of everyone.
July is here, which means that we are in the middle of the summer and back to school is not that far away.  Parents, please put your child in a Catholic school for the good of their heart, mind and soul.  No one wants to gain the whole world and lose his/her soul. 
Please pray with your child and enroll them in Catholic school in order to help them live out their Catholic faith.
