My Dear Parishioners, as you are reading this bulletin, I am in Carthage, Missouri with Bishop Kemme for our annual pilgrimage to honor the Blessed Mother Mary and to pray for the salvation of souls. There will be thousands of Catholics, as many as 80 thousand, mostly Vietnamese from all over the world for this special event. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. I will be praying daily for you all at two Masses per day, beside other religious events such as adoration and the procession. As a priest, my main reason for attending this important event is to help many people through the sacraments, especially with the sacrament of the sick and of penance. I usually hear about 4 hours of confessions a day. If you ever wonder what this event is like, I highly recommend that you and your family attend, you will not regret it and it will be an eye opener to many. You will either set up your own tents or stay in a hotel, but you would have to book it about a year in advance. There will be so many cultural events with food and skills and talents, performances as well as spiritual talks, all day and night. If you know me well by now, you should know that no matter where I am, my heart will always be with the people of All Saints. Again, thank you to my brother priests for helping my parishioners with their priestly ministry. Please help me in thanking them before God and also personally. Thank you and thank you to so many parishioners for your love, prayers, and financial support to our church’s family. Enjoy your last few weeks of summer. Thank you and I love you all, Fr. Hien
