My Dear Parishioners,
Happy All Saints’ Feast Day everyone. May all the saints in heaven pray for us and our families until we are all in heaven with them for eternal life. God is good and He has blessed us with all the saints in heaven to pray for us, and for us to imitate their love for God and their faith in God. Unless we live today like them, we will not make it to heaven. Yes, we are given life so that we may be smart enough to love heaven by loving God and one another today. Anyone who lives to love our Lord and to serve Him by leading souls to heaven will be saved. You and I might be very surprised to see countless Catholics, including ourselves, who might not make it to heaven and at the same time we will see countless non-Catholics who will make it to heaven. These people might not have known Christ and his teachings on earth but they lived with their conscience, justly and fairly, showing great care, and sacrificed much for others. God will show greater mercy to them for they didn't know much about our Catholic faith, but they lived out the best version of themselves that was given to them by God. No matter who we are, we all must live every moment of our lives with God and for God and a desire for heaven. The devils have a lot of games and toys for people to love them instead of God and heaven. The devils love people who choose to like them and are faithless in God, loveless for God and for others, etc. Every day, I pray that myself, my loved ones, and all of my parishioners would live to love God and to help each other to eternal life. I know that if we live to love much, we will be with the one who has loved us eternally, that’s our God. See you at Holy Mass to pray for our sinfulness and to give thanks and praise to God, Fr. Hien ALL SAINTS DAY: Tuesday, November 1st is a holyday of obligation (all Catholics are required to attend Mass on this day, unless they are seriously ill). Masses are at 12noon and 5pm in English, and 6:30pm in Vietnamese. All Souls Day: Viet & English Mass at 6:30pm, optional Mass. MONTH OF NOVEMBER: We will pray for all souls at every Mass. All Mass intentions will be for all souls, and your Mass stipends will benefit our parish ‘Building Fund.” Please take an envelope (in your pew) and write all the deceased names of those among your family and friends so that they will be prayed for at every Mass in November (these names will be placed in front of the altar all month). We love them and we will pray for them until they are in heaven. Comments are closed.
