NEWLY ORDAINED PRIESTS CLASS OF 2020:
We give thanks to God and we welcome three newly ordained priests to the Diocese of Wichita:
FR. TREVOR BUSTER, FR. HAYDEN CHARLES, AND FR. LUKE DOWNING.
Please pray for our new priests and all priests throughout the world.
 
CONGRATULATIONS!
To the five seminarians Matt Glazier, Andrew Meng, Christopher Rumback, William Stuever and Ty Taylor who were ordained to the transitional diaconate Thursday, May 21, 2020. 
God’s willing, these men will be ordained priests this time next year for our diocese.  Thank you Jesus.
 
EVANGELIZATION:
Evangelization is an encounter with the living God.  In fact, it is through the Divine encounter that we become fully alive. “The ultimate goal is not health or wellness, but the encounter with Jesus … He alone frees us from evil and heals our hearts.  Only an encounter with him can save, can make life full and beautiful” (Pope Francis, Homily on the Occasion of the Canonization of St. John Henry Newman, 13 October 2019).
Questions to assist your encounter with the Lord:  God has offered you His greatest gift -- His only son.  Every gift is an encounter with a person’s love that is meant to be received. 
Jesus is the gift of the Heavenly Father.  How do you see Jesus as a gift in your life and how do you receive Him in your soul?   The Holy Spirit is the love shared between the Father and the Son. 
Jesus offers you the gift of the Holy Spirit when he offers eternal life--that is divine life without duration.
How have you experienced the divine life of the Holy Spirit?
