My Dear Parishioners,
How was your Labor Day weekend? Mine was good for I spent my day painting in the basement of the new house. I had to get it done so that I can move in before the winter. 80 percent of my personal stuff is still in the garage/office for over a year. Lately some unexpected events have kept me from working in the house such as fixing the church’s broken sewage line, paving the road and the sidewalks, leaking roofs, the many air conditioner problems, the many funerals, etc... On Labor Day, I did have a great dinner. I hope that everyone enjoyed your Labor Day celebration with your family and friends. Did you remember to be humble before God and others? No matter who we are, being humble is not easy. It takes a lot of patience and true love. Please keep trying, and work at it for God is always ready to help you. The key is to stay calm and pray in your heart for God’s strength and His help. PSR & Confirmation: Our classes are starting up for our children to continue growing in their Catholic faith. Parents, your children truly need your help and guidance for them to grow in their Catholic faith. Your children need your daily love, your daily reminder to them to be nice to one another as well as saying their daily prayers. Of course, they need you to practice your Catholic faith and to take your family to church. Remember, a family that prays together stays together in this life and forever in heaven. I don’t think I would know God, love God and serve God today as a priest if my parents had not made us pray together every night as a family. Of course, we have never ever skipped a Holy Mass. The only time that I ever skipped Mass was when we were escaping in the Pacific Ocean by boat. I was 12 years old then. Please don’t take Holy Mass for granted. We need God in our lives and in our families. Holy Mass is the Holy Eucharist, which is Jesus, who is God with us today. Family Financial Statement: On behalf of our All Saints students and the many students attending Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High school, thanks to the many parishioners and families who have been faithful to their pledges and their stewardship way of life. Please know that you are the ones who are doing the good deeds for these children and their future. Catholic education is not free but is from the many sacrifices of the many good-hearted people in our parish. Soon, every family will receive an up-to-date 2019 financial contribution statement from the parish. Please don’t fail our children and your parish. We need your love and support. Thank you for being faithful to God, to our parish and to our children. In Jesus’s name, Fr. Hien Comments are closed.
